The Crescent Valley Substation is staffed by Sergeant Marcial Evertsen and one Deputy Sheriff. 

The responsibilities of the staff at the Crescent Valley Substation include responding to all emergency calls received by the communication center, taking crime and traffic accident reports, service of civil process and traffic enforcement

The response area of the Crescent Valley Substation include the northern half of Eureka County, from the JD Ranch Road (40 miles north of Eureka), to the northern Eureka County line.  This area includes the towns of Crescent Valley, Beowawe, Dunphy, Pine Valley, the Cortez area within Eureka County, and the mine sites north of Carlin. 

The Eureka Patrol Division is staffed by two Patrol Deputies, under the direction of Sgt. Marcial Evertsen.  The Sheriff and Undersheriff also perform patrol duties as needed.

  The responsibilities of the staff include responding to all emergency calls received by the communication center, taking crime and traffic accident reports, traffic enforcement and service of civil process.

The response area of the Eureka Patrol Division includes the southern half of Eureka County from the JD Ranch Road (40 miles north of Eureka on SR 278), to the southern Eureka County line.  This includes all areas of Eureka, Diamond Valley, US 50, and surrounding areas.
